Transport ‘a strong place to start’ smart city efforts, says expert

 

Councils have been urged to further engage their citizens on smart city work, with transport being a ‘strong place to start’ on intelligent city design.

After a YouGov poll found 96% of the public were unaware of any smart city initiatives being run by their local council, co-founder of smart city data experts Urban Tide, Steven Revill, told Transport Network that local authorities were ‘encountering barriers’ to engaging with members of the community.
